kid games.

Remember picking Hi Ho Cherry-Os, feeding those Hungry Hippos, and visiting Queen Frostine of Candyland?

Although we've none of those great classics in our collection yet, we've found a modern-day winner. I imagine the boys will have many fond memories of building and smashing game pieces.

What are your favorite family games, old and new? (For the Christmas list.)

ooh, we love games! our kids love Uno and UnoMoo (which is def. more kid-friendly, for the younger ones), they adore Zingo, Hullabaloo, HABA's Rainbow Timber (like Jenga, but with colored blocks, oh yes!), and my oldest loves Mancala (which helps with counting too). Pretty Pretty Princess is high on that list too, in case you have more of that "illusive female spectrum". once in awhile Travis so nicely agrees to play it with Celia and THAT is a sweet sight to see. :)

Uno. :) My dad and I played uno every Sunday afternoon and had a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream. Even during football season.
Oh my goodness...games...we have some great kids games. Charades Kids on Stage Game (A game in a tin. I got it at Kohls, ages 3&up w/ pictures on the cards), I Spy Bingo (also in a tin, with ABC's, a fun way to learn your letters, Brycen is 2 1/2 and plays it), Matching (when they are young like 2 we just face all the cards up and try to find all the matches), just got a fun hand me down game called Finders Keepers, Don't Wake Daddy, Cat in the Hat I Can do That, Dominoes, Candyland, Shoots and Ladders (a hard one for younger than 4 to understand), Uno...oh and Jacen loves to play War (we are a face card type of people but you can play with any type of cards). Apparently we are a game playing family. Good luck getting some more fun games for the kiddos :)

Cute pictures! My family and I have game night at least once a month. I have 3 children, 2 girls and a boy. My smallest daughters' favorite game right now is Hungry Hippos (classic). My older daughter really likes games like Clue and Monopoly and honestly, those kinds of games never get old. My eldest son however is what my husband and I call and extreme gamer. He begged us last year to buy him and the girls Spinning Wheels so they can reenact shows like Wheel Of Fortune and the Price Is Right. The wheels really are useful with not only games, but studying- who knew?! Happy Holidays to you and your family!
