sunny snapshot: singing in the car

What would it be like to have debt repaid? I can't even imagine the feeling. Today I said, "Duke, we're never going to be well off, are we?" and he replied, "Oh, you'll be fine. I'm working on a plan to make my suicide look like an accident." Of course he was joking but it reminded me I would rather be poor with him than rich with anyone else. Life is tough, that much is true. And rewarding.

This is us singing together in the car the summer after we were married. What if I couldn't sing with him anymore? Oh gosh, I can't even think about it. Love this man.

It would mean so much to us if our school debts were paid. That's why it's a goal of mine to be in a situation where we can at least help our kids when it comes to that.
I don't think you need to be well off to be comfortable. Like you said - being together is enough. A lot of my childhood was uncomfortable because of money but I learned a lot and would change very little - taking away some of my parents worry which was mostly caused by money is what I would change.
You guys are so cute! I love the fact that you took a picture of yourselves singing in the car. You can tell you are a photographer :) I say, just enjoy the time as a family, that is most important!
