i saw it in a movie once.
Two things.
Firstly; my kids are wearing the exact same clothes in these pictures as they were wearing in my last post, not because the photos were taken the same day, but because I didn't change their clothes for two days in a row.
Secondly; in my analysis of the process of juggling, I've noticed that although really great jugglers won't drop any balls, most of the time there are a couple balls in the air while one is held in their palm.
I think sometimes, as women, we get to feeling like we've dropped a ball... When we find ourselves feeding our families cereal for every meal just to get by... Or our laundry pile becomes an ant's Everest. We feel guilty. Yuck, guilt. I despise the hold it has on me.
I am realizing that the ball isn't dropped until we give up. It's just up in the air for a bit while we hold another ball in our palm.
Yesterday I held my children in my palm. We made giant messes together. We ate chocolate frosting on graham-crackers for lunch because I wanted to see their eyes light up when they saw their plates. We watched movies, and when they noticed a character sleeping in a hammock and started asking about it, we stopped everything to make our own.
And when, after kissing them goodnight, I noticed my laundry pile, I mustered my strength and kicked my guilt right in the kisser.
I can do everything. Just not all at the same time.
You must watch this video. I would wash millions of dishes for one moment like this.
