with planted feet.

A few weeks ago I found myself becoming a little bit discontent with my lot as I scrolled the blogs of jet-setters and happy people with extra cash to burn. After viewing too many pictures of people eating ice-cream in front of the Eiffel Tower, I start to wonder why they get to live a life of adventure while I sit around in my computer chair watching them.

Long ago I decided that I didn't need to be rich to live a rich life, so this was a quest to validate my prior notion. I found exactly what I knew I would; that we are as free as we believe that we are.

I've dreamed of Australian Outback Adventures. Now I've lived my own.

I've imagined my hair blowing in the salty-sea winds of the Irish coasts.

I closed my eyes and breathed in the life I wish.

A trip for an entire family to a fancy, Paris restaurant was entirely within our grasp.

Along with a bit of fencing instruction from Duke.

We may not have much. We may be pretty stationary as we strive to save and prepare a bright future for our babies. But we can still soar.

I urge you, if you've ever felt like life is leaving you behind, to go the places you've always dreamed, if only in your hearts.

Fly.

I love this, Megan! More people (ahem, me) should experience their dreams through the heart rather than feel sad and feel like they're missing out.

I am SO impressed. Really Megan. I am always amazed at your initiative to make your life full. You are teaching your boys, not to mention your sweet little sisters such a valuable virtue. Can I post this? The film making is so adorable too! I've got to make my own. No glitzy or fabulous things blog has ever inspired me as much as yours does daily...

There's this saying in Spanish, "no es más rico quien más tiene, sino quien menos necesita" (loosely translated to, 'most rich is he/she who less needs"), and this is exactly that :)
