summer vacations.

'Tis the season... to be at home wishing we were flying across the world. All we have to do is take a look at our kids' crooked-toothed smiles and we know that it will be some time before we will ever be able to skip town on an extended visit to the tropics. We need to save for braces... And (immediately) a car that seats more than five.

But we have discovered that so long as we budget our time wisely, we've all the moments in the world for adventure. So long as we are packed in the car when daddy comes home, we can escape on a small vacation any day of the week.

The best part of any vacation is being together, away from all cares.

I think we can manage that a few dozen times this summer.
