a cherry on top.

Big eyes. Beautiful skin. Adorable dimple. Happy girl.

There's just one thing missing in the above photos...

So Duke and I spent our hospital evening side-by-side tying sweet, little bows. He loves this baby enough to do crafts for her. (That's a lot.)

Much better.

Or did we go overboard?

Question. How do you make them stick?

A touch of corn syrup or a dab of elmers glue stick. Use a warm wash cloth to remove.

this is hilarious! congratulations on your little one & a girl even, so exciting!! my mom used Karo syrup or honey, not sure if there's a newfangled mixture I haven't seen yet though. (I have 2 boys.)

Congratulations! Thank you for sharing your birth story. I became a little emotional reading it and looking at all the beautiful pictures of you and your little GIRL. I have four boys of my own and this made me excited at the idea of a little girl...thinking about having that type of relationship, different than the boys, You have just started a brand new adventure with her. I'm so excited for you!

She is so beautiful!! I used Karo syrup, but I like Jessica's idea of a dab of elmers glue stick.. wish I had thought of that when my four daughters were babies!

I can understand why she's already smiling. She's been born into such a wonderful family. Truly. Blessed little girl.

KY Jelly works for sticking bows as well.

so cute! i feel bad - i never put little bows on my girls' heads...because they had too much hair!! we needed barrettes from the beginning!

I've seen corn syrup used to great effect. If you consider using Elmer's glue there's more info about it here: http://www.elmers.com/about/faqs

I love the sweet dimple and the minky yellow blanket.
I used Elmer's glue! Since it was waterbased it worked great! Karo was just melty and sticky.

She is absolutely amazing. Karo syrup or ky jelly but make sure it has time to dry or they slide right off.

I read on Courtney Kendrick's blog that they discovered KY Jelly worked - though I can't remember how they discovered it...
